San Isidro - El Hollon Sold

A main house of 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. There is also a guest house that is 2 stories, very nicely designed and tucked into the wooded hillside of the property that is 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. The whole upstairs is one bedroom.

The property is a rolling and immensely usable property that is shrouded in fruit trees as well as some furniture grade hardwood trees. There is also a rare (in Costa Rica) pine grove on the property. There are also a couple stands of bamboo. One is orange bamboo and the other is black.

The location is about 7 minutes from the town center but has the definite feel of being in the country. It is on the Dominical side of San Isidro and so it is a mere 30 minute drive to the beach. As you are leaving San Isidro heading towards Dominical, there is the chicharonera just outside of town. Go on past that about 75 meters or so. The entrance is at the bottom of the hill and goes up to the right, the uphill side. There is a wood gate there now and two cement stripes that run up the hill past the guest house and up to the main house. If you get up to the Karaoke bar and the sharp right curve that goes down to the La Palma bridge, you’ve gone too far.

The property was great for our purposes so I highly recommend it to any families that are looking to re-locate to the San Isidro / Dominical area. The nearness to San Isidro helped quite a bit with having all the conveniences nearby.

Other Possible Uses
Since the property has some highway frontage, a commercial use could be done here with considerable success. There is a constant stream of Costa Ricans, as well as visiting foreigners passing right by the property on their way to up from the coast to the famous San Isidro farmer's market, or to the doctor's, or the post office, or any number of attractions there in San Isidro.

The property lends itself to putting up a number of cabins and doing an intensive Spanish/English school. The location is perfect for this with the proximity of the beach, the town, and of course, the area is pure Spanish speaking Costa Ricans, so the opportunity to use the language being studied is everywhere. There is lots of room to place cabins.

There is an additional 1.7 acre property that has at least 2 additional building sites on it. This can be added into the purchase of this property. The property then lays out this way.

· The main property is 16,877 sq. meters or 4.2 acres. This includes the guest house, and the main house. The price for this property by itself is $320,000.
